That depends on many factors such as practice hours, comfortability, and the type of gig. If there’s a specific type of gig (or personal goal/date) you are practicing for, please let me know and I’d be happy to help cater the training for it. With that said, give yourself time and patience. It took me over a year before I played my first gig which was a house party…and I was a complete mess. LOL. Granted, I didn’t have a course or formal instructor to help me along the way.

This introductory course is designed to get you familiar with essential dj equipment and basic understanding of blending songs together.
DJing is a lot like learning a new language or instrument. After four sessions, you’ll have moved past the "What does this button do?" and into "Ahh, I’m starting to get this.." phase.

Practicing between sessions is crucial as it allows me to see your progress and help you along the way. I recommend at least 30-45 min a few days out of the week. Treat this as playtime or a fun activity, not a chore. It doesn’t need to be lumped into one session. Even a few 10-15 min sessions now and then can make a world of difference. You’ll be surprised how quickly small practices add up. Write down any questions or challenges you go through so that we can talk through them in our in-person practice sessions.

Yes. There is a follow up beginner/intermediate course available. These lessons focus on enhancing precision and developing a higher comfort/confidence level in the booth. Each session combines technical drills with exercises, focusing on key elements such as harmonic mixing, advanced phrasing, creative looping, drops and blends. Please inquire with instructor if you are interested in learning more.
